Here are a few photos showing IMPROPER braking technique. :-)

Because of the cold and wet conditions, I should have SQUEEEEZED my front brake lever even more so than usual. Instead, I stabbed at it, which promptly locked my front tire, and instantly put me on my HEAD!!

I was leading the race at the time. You know how it is - the excitement of being in front sometimes shuts off the brain!

Location: Turn 3 - Loudon, New Hampshire
Approx. Speed Before Crash: 80 MPH?
Estimated tumbling distance: 120 Feet
Injuries: Knocked myself silly, sprained wrist

Oh NO!  This is NOT going to be good!

Please - just let me stop BEFORE I hit that wall!!

Here comes the guy in second. (He won!)

Notice how bundled up the crowd is?
See how shiny the track is?
Honest, it was cold and wet! It wasn't my fault. :-)
