| Product overview | | | The NetScreen-100 is a purpose-built Internet security appliance that delivers firewall, VPN and traffic shaping that is optimized for the most demanding environments such as high traffic e-business sites, co-location facilities, ASP/ISP data centers and enterprise central sites. The NetScreen-100 includes a custom-designed ASIC for accelerating encryption and firewall functions, a high-performance multi-bus architecture, embedded high-speed RISC CPU, and dedicated software. Its patent-pending architecture eliminates the performance barrier traditionally imposed by firewalls and VPN encryption devices that run software on general-purpose processors, PCs or workstations. NetScreen eliminates these performance barriers while still delivering ICSA certified stateful inspection firewall security and the highest level of data security with 3DES IPSec encryption support. |
